Architect Alan Cronshaw started up ACRONYM in March 2003. Since then the firm has been commissioned to work on over 120 projects. This has led to a number of built schemes, many of which have been published, both nationally and internationally.In the last ten years ACRONYM's work has included alteration and extension of residential properties, several new build houses, shops, restaurants, offices, barn conversions and dental surgeries. These projects have been situated in both urban and rural locations, often involving conservation areas and listed buildings.
Prior to starting up ACRONYM, Alan was an associate at Wright & Wright Architects in London whose clients included the RIBA, the V&A Museum and the Royal College of Art.
Today ACRONYM maintains a workload of both larger and smaller scale projects and Alan is actively involved with the Sussex branch of the RIBA, Design Brighton and the Regency Society. Alan has been a design tutor at the Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff and has mentored students from the School of Architecture in Brighton. He has also been a judge for the RIBA awards.Located in Brighton, ACRONYM offers architectural and design services to Brighton, Hove, Sussex, London and other parts of South East England.
