Kite is owned and run by Roger Chatterton, a seasoned audio professional with more than 25 years experience in the professional audio business. Even after all this time there is still a great enthusiasm for all aspects of the Studio's work, every job is important, and benefits from his close attention to all aspects of the recording and production process.

Kite now has a new look to the integrated recording/control room, plus a separate Voice Booth, which creates an intimate working environment, particularly suitable for solo artists and writers, and Voice-Overs, although the flexibility of the studio's setup still allows for larger acoustic sessions.

In 1985 he toured extensively with Katrina & The Waves around Germany, Scandinavia and then on to the States on a club tour, later to open for Don Henley on his "Boys of Summer" US Tour. He continued in the UK & Europe with a UK sound company, Roadstar, as a freelance Sound Engineer and then worked for the US company " Claire Bros" in the UK & Europe touring with many "Name" bands as varied as; Asia, Nils Lofgren, Kitaro, Ultravox, Bill Nelson, Boney M, Kylie Minogue, France Gall, Johnny Hallyday, Jack Bruce, Freddie Jackson, Peter Hamil, Julio Iglesias, Bros, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Kate and Anna McGarrigle, Mike Scott, Joan Armatrading, & even two shows with The Band of HM Royal Marines, Plymouth !!
