A. M Bacon Agricultural Engineers is a family run business in Taunton, Somerset, owned by Alastair Bacon. Alastair is a time served Ford engineer, completing his Apprenticeship with Hawkes & Sons, Taunton's main Ford dealer, above you can see their 1967 Carnival entry (Alastair of course in seat on the tractor). Alastair qualified top of his class and specialised on the "selecto speed" gearbox tractors, Ford's revolutionary powershift gearbox, which, was at the forefront of technology for the time.
In 1972 he decided to move and set up his own business, A. M Bacon Agricultural Engineers was born. The business grew and the reputation for quality "Used Tractors" and quality service started. A couple years later the business moved to the site from where we still operate, and has grown steadily since.
We still pride ourselves on the same virtues, of selling good quality Tractors and Machinery, and meeting the needs of our customers, whether it is Sales, Service or Repairs you require we are happy to help.
