Abacus Tattoos are the oldest name in tattoos and piercing in Derby, specialising in off the wall to custom work and one off pieces.
We have a welcoming, relaxed and friendly tattoo and piercing studio, offering all aspects of tattooing such as cover ups, restoration, traditional, Celtic, Polynesian, Japanese etc.

Our History

The name Abacus Tattoos was established in 1976 by Charles Hall, “Charlie”, who moved to his first studio in Matlock Bath in 1987 where the name Abacus Tattoos was established. The need for a bigger studio was soon needed, due to Charlie’s work being recognised and in high demand.

At this point, he then moved to London Road, Derby in 1990 taking Abacus Tattoos forward again but due to the very high demand for his work, another move was needed which took Abacus Tattoos to another move and to a bigger studio in 1998 at Sadler Gate, Derby where we currently are today.
