This variety of vehicles means that most special requirements can be catered for. Lady Drivers, subject to availability, may also be requested. All Allens Taxis Black Cabs and Private Hire vehicles are 'metered' and strictly regulated by Coventry Hackney Carriage Office.

Ours is a service business where efficiency and courtesy is of the utmost importance. Allens Taxis have grown through its many years because of its attention to detail, its care for you, the customer and 'Good Practice' guidelines that have been set for your drivers.

Taxi & Private Hire Driver Guidelines

Allens Taxis know that you the customer will continue to use the Company if our level of service remains high. To ensure this, all of our drivers are issued with Good Practice guidelines and following are a few that we regard as being particularly important.

Cleanliness: The vehicle must be clean inside and out at all times. Drivers must be clean and tidy.

Efficiency: Every attempt must be made for prompt pick-up. Drivers must knock/ring the customers door whenever possible instead of sounding horn.

Helpfulness: Drivers must help at all times with shopping/luggage/parcels, and assist the passenger/s if required.

Passenger Comfort: Drivers will refrain from smoking and eating and playing the radio too loud. He/She will ensure all relevant seat belts are fastened and help elderly or infirm passengers in and out of the vehicle. When dark and money is changing hands, suitable lighting must be switched on.
