Inflamed areas respond well to localised application of ice. If there is a muscle spasm heat is a better option. Sometimes it is better to use both hot and cold in certain conditions.
Seating
As we spend more and more time in the seated position this leads to the chance of poor posture and spinal problem. Each person should be individually assessed to make sure that their chair is giving optimum support and that the workstation is correctly positioned to prevent neck strain.Exercise
Most back and neck problems do benefit from the right sort of exercise.
