BANG is an exciting, independent hairdressing company based in the heart of the beautiful city of York.
Created by Jonathan and Sarah Cotton in 2007, Bang very quickly made a name for itself as the place to go for unsurpassable standards of fashion forward hairdressing in York.At BANG, we offer a warm and friendly atmosphere and highly trained, passionate hairstylists that listen.
Our forté is creating bespoke cutting, colouring and styling services that are tailored to each clients’ individual needs. Most importantly, we specialise in giving you the knowledge to recreate the look at home.We pride ourselves on our standard of excellence in both high fashion and classical hairdressing. Our unfaltering belief in our continual education and development is what drives us forward and keeps us ahead of our game. We immerse ourselves in all things hair and fashion industry related, entering prestigious competitions such as the world renowned L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy and the British Hairdressing Awards, amongst others. Our team of session stylists are regularly involved backstage at fashion shows, most recently at London Fashion Week. We are often requested for editorial fashion shoots and are responsible for all of our own salon imagery, shooting the BANG hair collections every season. So, when it comes to your hair being styled in the salon, you can be assured our team have their fingers very much on the pulse of the most current and upcoming cutting, colouring and styling techniques and trends.
