About Bodywise Natural Health Centre
Origins
Bodywise was founded by a group of natural health practitioners in
1996. We are here to enhance the physical and emotional health of
everyone who visits us.
We have a strong emphasis on high standards of training and
professional development and our practitioners are committed to working
together in a spirit of generosity, cooperation and compassion.
We have a light, bright, beautiful studio which host the wide range
of yoga and movement classes and also our programme of weekend
workshops. We have three specially designed treatment rooms for natural
therapies.
Finding Us
We are located in a converted cotton warehouse in the historic
Northern Quarter of Manchester. The building is owned by Manchester
Buddhist Centre and you can find us on the 2nd floor.
Disabled & Pushchair Access
While you can now reach Bodywise by lift from the ground floor,
building access is still via six steps. We give as much assistance as we
can to those that need help up the six steps. We hope to offer full
disabled access soon.
By Train, Bus and Tram
We are a stones throw from the Arndale Shopping Centre and very close
to a wide range of public transport links with Market St Metrolink and
Shudehill bus station just round the corner, We are ten minutes walk
from Piccadilly and Victoria train stations. Traveline Journey Plannerr can be a help and our postcode is M4 1DZ.
By Car
There are several disabled parking spaces nearby and several NCP car parks.
By Bike
There are cycle racks at the end of Turner St and we suggest you use a good lock as thieves target Manchester City Centre.
More to discover in the Buddhist Centre
Bodywise is a separately run business to the
Manchester Buddhist Centre but
we share our inspiration for supporting you to be well and develop
yourself. You can find information on their website about courses and
classes in Buddhism and meditation.
There is Earth Cafe, a vegetarian cafe and juice bar in the basement and
the Buddhist Centre shop sells yoga mats, blocks, eye bags, books and
incense. The Buddhist Centre also has meditation rooms that you can use
if you enquire at the Buddhist Centre reception. There is also a kitchen
on the ground floor where you can make a donation for making yourself a
cup of tea.
