Chef on the Road originated in January 1991 as a local family-run catering company, started up by Peter Smith who qualified as a chef at Croydon College in 1971 and who has been appealing to the taste buds of customers ever since.We have more than two decades’ worth of experience addressing the needs of various satisfied clients, including schools and offices, weddings and funerals, christenings and anniversaries. We are earnestly dedicated towards maintaining a personable and family-like approach when working with our clients and are always willing to lend a listening ear to find out what you need. As such, the sample menus listed on our website are constantly a work-in-progress and we are continually coming up with new ideas and menu items depending on the event and your preferences.All of our food is prepared with the utmost care, using only fresh ingredients and impeccably presented while maintaining great flavor, nutrition and balance. We draw upon our extensive culinary experience to serve up food inspired by all sorts of international and local cuisine, so whatever it is that you are looking for, we will be able to adapt to your needs! From classic sandwiches such as the BLT to delectable Asian snacks like duck and hoi sin spring rolls, or Italian specialties like crostinis – you name it, we have it.Our premises are kept to high hygiene standards and subject to regular inspections by the local authorities. Deliveries of food to your venue are also completed in our own refrigerated vehicle. On a standard day-to-day basis, we cater to schools and small and large companies while our outside catering unit is in charge of external events such as weddings, birthdays, funerals and christenings.We are specialists in providing great-tasting food in places and environments with unique ambiences and atmospheres.
