Cumbria Building Supplies Ltd is Carlisle's only independent builders merchant and has built up a great and well deserved reputation supplying a huge selection of building and landscaping materials to both trade and retail customers.   Cumbria Building Supplies is a local company set up and run by local people. Directors Darrell Elliot, Paul Blythe and David Reed have over 60 years experience in the building supplies business between them and decided to set the business up after working for other suppliers in the county and seeing for themselves, the service and products customers wanted, but didn't necessarily get. After twelve months developing a business plan they opened  their 10,000sq ft. depot in Burgh Road Industrial Estate in August 2000. Since then the business has grown tremendously but still retains it's local independent roots. Paul, David and Darrell are on hand all day to give decisions and handle issues that arise in the day-to-day business and together with the rest of the crew ensure that the company's aim of giving customer service second to none is met.   At Cumbria Building Supplies we offer a one-stop-shop for all your building and patio/garden construction as well as using our experience to offer guidance and advice, trade and public are welcome to visit or give a call, if you're a DIY novice, experienced tradesman or connected with the building trade in any way we would be pleased to see or hear from you. Our aim is to make sure our customer is satisfied with the service we offer, one member of our team will handle your purchase from order to drive away, if you want something we don't stock we will do everything we can to get it for you, we have an extensive range of vehicles decked out in our distinctive burgundy and cream livery and made to our unique specifications, deliveries within approximately a 20 mile radius of our depot are FREE, all to make sure you get what you want, quickly, efficiently and at a fair price.   We look forward to seeing existing and new customers at our depot, please don't expect our directors to be sitting in the office wearing designer suits and giving out orders, it's not like that at Cumbria Building Supplies, you're more likely to see them at the counter or working in the yard.
