After trying his hand at office work in London, Guy decided the outdoor life was for him and set about turning the knowledge and experience  of his university summer job, landscaping into a career as he realised he rather enjoyed it…however, if he was going to do this he was going to do it right and as well as anyone could. After investing some time learning the trade at a number of notable botanic gardens, large landscaping companies, studying in Japan and working in Holland with the dutch master Piet Oudolf he set up Emotive Landscapes.
