Essex Demolition Contractors was founded in 1959 by Malcom M. Hepburn and became a Limited Company in 1963. In 1965 we were invited to join the National Federation of Demolition Contractors.(NFDC) Essex Demolition Contractors are now one of the longest serving members of the Federation, and The longest serving member in East Anglia. We are also members of the European Demolition Association (EDA), National Demolition Training Group (NDTG), Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPSC), and a committed recycling Company.

We aim to deliver a high standard of performance to our clients, which include Blue Chip Companies, Government Authorities, Local Authorities, NHS Trusts, Industrial/Commercial & Private Developers, and Construction Contractors.

During our 50 + years of trading our company has gained invaluable knowledge and professional experience in every type of demolition & dismantling project, ranging from Power Stations, Gas Works, Aerodromes, MoD Ammunition testing Bases, High Rise Tower Blocks, and large Industrial Complexes, through to smaller Commercial and Residential Properties. Although based in Essex we carry out all types of minor as well as major projects throughout the United Kingdom.
