I like to think that I am very easy to get on with, that I am hard-working, honest and have a very good sense of humour!I have been in the carpentry business since before I left school. I did work experience with JW Turner builders of Northampton and then got taken on as an apprentice. I went to college for two years to learn the trade; as always though I learnt more working alongside experienced carpenters than I could ever learn at college. I passed my exams, and my driving test, and worked my way up in the company for nine years. I left JW Turners in May 1997 and joined Canon Construction as a Site Supervisor.After six months with Canon, I decided that I wanted to start working for myself. I became self-employed and set up Gallard Carpentry which launched on November 1st 1997. Since then I've seen the business go from strength to strength. Even during the recent 'slow down' regular loyal customers have kept the business in work.
