We opened our first salon in April 1995 in the presigious Eldon Garden Shopping Mall in Newcastle upon Tyne. The compact salon with only 4 team members and 10 seats was an instant success and within 18 months we moved into a larger site directly opposite in the same location. The new salon was then expanded to a 2,000 sq ft hairdressing haven — a business that was in hot demand. We have always focused on offering first-class hairdressing to our guests who wanted a fresh approach from a visit to a salon. A focus on guest care and great hairdressing proved a recipe for success and by 2010 two further salons had opened in nearby Burnopfield and Mosley Street — central Newcastle upon Tyne.Friday the 12th of April 2013 was the birth of Gary Hedley Hairdressing salon number 4, located at the Holiday Inn hotel 'Active Life Health club' on the A1/A66 at Scotch Corner near Darlington and Richmond, on the border of County Durham and North YorkshireWe now proudly employ an amazing team of over 60 employees and each week in excess of 600 guests attend Gary Hedley salons.When you visit Gary Hedley Salons expect a team that are hugely passionate about hairdressing and equally as enthused about offering a first-class experience to every single guest, each and every time they visit the salon.
