About us: GK Electronics is a long-established business located in Redruth, Cornwall. We supply sound and lighting equipment to local entertainers. We hire sound and lighting equipment for you to use yourself at your wedding, party, etc We offer a repair service for professional audio-visual equipment, such as slave amplifiers, speakers, lighting effects, guitar amps etc We sell and install audio-visual equipment to venues and business premises: background music systems, video projection systems, conference sets etc We offer a full conference AV ‘supply and operate’ service Our showroom is normally open 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday amd 10am to 2pm on Saturdays. We stock a range of cables, lamps, fluids, connectors, batteries etc, things that you may need on a day to day basis. We also have a basic range of equipment in stock: CD players, amps, speakers, cabled and radio mics, lighting effects, smoke machines etc We can normally get any standard piece of equipment within 1—2 days, the same as if you ordered from an internet site, and usually at the same price!   WEBSHOP:Please note that we do not currently operate a full webshop.WHY? Because we firmly believe that this type of equipment should not be bought simply on account of its low price or pretty pictures etc!We are more concerned with reliability, quality, and most importantly availability of backup from the manufacturers. Additionally we think that most people should take professional advice before buying equipment that they are not familiar with. Our long service in this industry has taught us by experience which makes of equipment are reliable and have proper back-up. Nowadays there are many companies that spring up, sell cheap equipment for a year or two and then go bust, leaving the customers with no backup or spare parts.Our workshop is littered with the remnants of such purchases!Much of our time here is spent in sorting out the problems that people have incurred when buying online. So please! Take our advice. Wherever you are, buy from and support a local dealer.
