Horwich Dental Care Centre is an established and popular dental practice in Horwich, Bolton, Greater Manchester, offering a full range of clinical and cosmetic treatments. We are conveniently located near to major roads, motorway and rail networks. Our Principal, Dr Stuart Grundy is proud to offer his extremely high standard of cosmetic and restorative dentistry - in fact Dr Grundy was shortlisted in the prestigious National Smile Awards for his outstanding work related to his Diploma in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. In 2010 he was awarded his Masters Degree, again in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. What really makes us special, however, is how we approach the needs of our patients.We strongly believe in the principles of "minimal intervention dentistry" which means that our patients smiles are restored with the minimum  tooth preparation necessary in each case. For all our patients this means the minimum amount of drilling that is possible.Traditional cosmetic and restorative dental techniques, such as porcelain veneers, crowns and bridges often involve the drilling away of healthy tooth structure to accomodate them . Research has shown that this traditional approach to cosmetic dental treatments can increase the risk of complications such as toothaches and infections which, in turn, can lead to root canal work or even extractions.At Horwich Dental Care Centre we believe that our teeth are precious  and, as life expectancy increases, it is vital that they are able to last as long we need them.
