I live in a modest 3 bedroomed house. We have an open plan living room / dining room which offers a lot of space for children to run around in. We have an enclosed, safe and secure garden, complete with 'little tikes' climbing frame, swing and sandpit. I encourage the children to participate in a range of crafts and cooking activities. I also have a large selection of age appropriate toys, ranging from baby, through toddler and up. There are various construction / building toys, a couple of different train sets, numerous cars and animals and plenty of problem solving toys such as shape sorters, jigsaws and card matching games. There is a huge selection of books. I have larger toys such as tents, a ball pit, tunnel and toddler trampoline. There is also an easel, chalkboard and messy play mat, and that is naming but a few. I try to offer the children in my care the biggest selectioin of toys that I can and various activities, so that they remain interested and positive. I will work with the children and design my activities around their current interests and likes. I will offer constant encouragement and will remain consisent through play, behaviour management and meal times.
