Trusted for 10 years
Having owned and groomed dogs for many years, my professional training was undertaken with Mark Davies at Allbreed Dog Grooming Academy in the West Midlands.Mark Davies is very highly qualified and holds the LCGI Dog Grooming qualification, C&G 7750 Advanced Dog Grooming and C&G 7302 teaching certificates. The LCGI qualification is one of the highest dog grooming qualifications available today. Mark’s skills and attention to detail have enabled me to groom to the highest standard expected from my clients with animal welfare being paramount at all times. All animals receive a thorough health check on arrival and anything found will be notified to the owner on or before collection. In addition I have undertaken training in cat grooming and this took place in London under the watchful eye of Heidi Anderton, another LCGI groomer and also Grooming Director for the Pet Industry Federation. To complete my training and to ensure that I could fully cover all aspects of dog and cat grooming, I visited Jitka Krizova in Staffordshire to undertake a course in hand stripping. Jitka has a Higher Diploma and LCGI in Dog Grooming as well as a diploma in Canine Massage. She is a member of Guild of Master Groomers and has won numerous competitions including Best in Show at British Groomer of the Year 2006, Eurogroomer Winner in 2006, 2007 and 2009, Best in Show at Groomania 2010 in Belgium, Mastergroom 2013 BIS. Since 2008 Jitka is a member of Groom Team England. Jitka’s speciality is hand stripping and following my training I have gone on to pass my Level 3 Professional Hand Stripping qualification. Hand stripping is a specialised skill and not one that every groomer is qualified to undertake.I have had dogs and cats most of my life and have a real passion for animals and their welfare; I give all dogs and cats that come to me the love, patience and respect they deserve. I want every dog I meet to receive a relaxed, happy experience in my salon and attention to their own individual needs is paramount. When not working in the salon, my time is spent with six wonderful Saint Bernard, three of which we have bred ourselves. Whilst we are extremely proud of all our Saint Bernard, both Bailey and Peanut have the distinction of being placed at Crufts. Bailey regularly joins us in the salon and if you would like to meet him, he loves nothing more than a fuss from customers and visitors.
