Mill Garages has a long history of operating Volvo car dealerships across the North East of England and whilst ownership has changed hands a number of times the Mill Brand has always been, and continues to be, held with high regard both regionally and nationally as leading car dealers.The first Mill Garage was established in the Old Mill House below Fullwell Mill in Sunderland in 1947 by George Rollings, a man who was ahead of his time, George Rollings had a very clear ambition which still holds true today and is very much the corner stone of our ongoing strategy. His aim was to:"Maintain a company based on individually managed autonomous units throughout the North East of England. To bring products and services to the public that bear a stamp of quality and sound backing. To recruit staff, train and develop their skills, thereby developing their knowledge and ensuring job satisfaction. To maintain the company’s reputation with the public by the high standards set in our conduct, appearance and services". Mill Garages North East Ltd was created in September 2008 when I together with Bob Nicholson, on board as Chairman, headed up a management buyout team to purchase the business from Inchcape Plc.We have strong local roots and viewed the acquisition as a “coming home” for the business.We also have a very knowledgeable management team with many years experience in both local and national retail and corporate sales. We have invested heavily in our premises to give you, our customers the very best new and used Volvo Sales and Service facilities.We hope we are able to fulfil your expectations of us and the cars, accessories, and services we sell.
