It’s a promise backed by over 20 years of landscape design and construction experience for Nascentia’s MD, John Kersley, who has worked at nine RHS Chelsea Flower Shows and managed the construction of fourteen APL (Association of Professional Landscapers) medal-winning gardens.

John developed a flair for art and design at an early age but it was his love of the outdoors that led him to working on the beautiful grounds of his old school, Orwell Park, whilst doing Graphic Design at university. Here, so to speak, the seed was sown and he saw that his two main passions could be combined. After studying Landscape Design, John spent several years getting his hands dirty learning the trade and worked his way up to Contracts Manager with the landscapes division of prestigious company Notcutts. He honed his domestic landscaping skills specialising in high end domestic commissions and was responsible for running several teams and sub-contractors, tackling a wide spectrum of work from large country gardens to contemporary courtyards. Ten years later he decided it was time to move on and Nascentia came to fruition in 2007.

This grounding in design, physical skill and contracts management is the foundation of Nascentia and it is John’s combined knowledge of the practical and the artistic that enables your vision to be realised.
