Set in 100 acres of parkland, the course is set with a fine variety of trees and shrubs.Local professional Tom Williamson, the legendary, world-renowned golf course architect, lent his Midas touch to the course here at Nottingham City Golf Club, and all the classic characteristics and hallmarks of the hugely influential design work is evident. Each hole is unique and there are an abundance of cunningly placed hazards laid out to maximise the challenge you will face. The location rivals other parkland courses for natural beauty and accessibility. Many mature trees enhance the park providing a colourful backdrop to the course providing a natural habitat for many species of birds including Green Woodpeckers and various birds of prey. The club first opened for business in 1910. Considerable new landscaping began in 2012 and is due to finish August 2013The Golf Club has a significant and friendly membership and welcomes all ages, genders and abilities.
