Oakage Riding Centre is a family run riding school which was established over 30 years ago by Rosemary Pattenden.
The centre is set in the picaresque Hope Valley, a part of the South Shropshire Hills and an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to the Stiperstones and Stapely Hill. We are situated on the A488, 25 minutes from Shrewsbury, 20 minutes from Welshpool, 30 minutes from Newtown, 15 minutes from Bishops Castle and 30 minutes from Church Stretton.  We have fantastic hacking country where we offer 1 – 3 hour hacks over our beautiful South Shropshire landscape, where the views will take your breath away.   Enjoy rides across the Stiperstones, with views to the Long Mynd and tales of Wild Edric. Ride over Stapely Hill, through the Stone Circle of Mitchels Fold and spot the birds of prey, with views over the Welsh Hills and see if you can see Snowdon on a clear day!! Whether this is your first time or you are a seasoned rider we are sure you will enjoy Oakage Riding Center. We are affiliated to the British Horse Society.
