I am Marco Toni, executive chef at Pizza Me. Having worked for many of the Italian restaurant chains in the UK, I gladly express my opinion if people ask me why pizza and pasta are expensive in restaurants when they are cheap to make….. “They shouldn’t be!” I reply.In Italy pizza was invented as something quick to grab on the go, almost like a sandwich was here.
