Royal Air Force College Cranwell (the first Military Air Academy in the world) is one of the most famous landmarks in Royal Air Force (RAF) history. Discover the history of the RAF Cranwell through artefacts, story boards, displays and interactive exhibits.Activities to try include the 'lighter than air' section and a flight simulator where you can attempt to land a Jet Provost on the runway at RAF Cranwell before your fuel runs out.Cranwell Aviation Heritage Centre has something for all the family to enjoy including a Video theatre, courtyard area with Jet Provost aircraft on display and a vampire nose cone. There are also many interactive exhibits including a flight simulator, aircraft recognition, supply drop, propeller development and navigation.There is also an annual programme of events and local tourist information available.
