My name is Samantha York and I have been teaching people to drive since 2003. In past careers I have worked as a water-skiing instructor, a swimming instructor and a catering manager. I initially trained with BSM and went on to work for a small school before setting up on my own in 2005. I thoroughly enjoy what I do, and can honestly say I wouldn’t do it otherwise.I have a good knowledge of West Kent through teaching a vast number of pass Plus courses, company fleet courses and advanced drivers. I also work for Mercedes Benz as one of their freelance driving specialists, as well as being an off road instructor, which is just very good fun really! You may also catch me out on the road as a ‘Dial a Drive’ driver, which is a great local charity, helping people get to hospital appointments and doing their weekly shop.I love getting people behind the wheel, whether it being the first time or people have had a licence for many years but have been too nervous to drive. Being relaxed, enjoying the experience and gaining confidence along the way, is what is important for me to provide to you, with a bit of fun thrown in! I teach a variety of people from enthusiastic 17 year olds, potential driving instructors, foreign nationals who need a UK licence, potential taxi drivers, to people who have held a licence for years but need some help and encouragement in getting back out on the road.My hours are between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday.
