Salvatore Barresi started up SFB Carpentry & Building Services Limited in 2002, following a 3-year apprenticeship with a large carpentry firm. He now works as part of a core team of some half a dozen other carpenters and builders, including two apprentices, with over 30 years combined experience in the building trade, and a number of large-scale projects to their name. The team is particularly experienced in new-build (i.e. constructing entirely new buildings, such as extensions) and always welcomes substantial projects of this nature.

This core team is itself part of an extended team of other skilled tradesmen who regularly work together, and collectively cover just about every area of building work: plumbing, electrical, plastering, painting, glazing, bricklaying, ground laying, steel erection... - you name it! The size of the team means that we are able to take on more than one job at a time and manage all of them satisfactorily. We will always try to accommodate new work and can usually begin at short notice if the customer needs something doing quickly. While we specialise in larger projects like loft conversions, extensions, renovations and roofing, no job is too small to consider and we rarely turn one down. SFB is located near the centre of Cambridge (providing building services within a 20-mile radius) and all of our tradesmen are Cambridgeshire locals. The company is fully CITB accredited, and a member of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme.
