SRS was formed by a group of traders who have over 30 years experience in the scrap metal industry. Our aim is to promote good working relationships with factory and gate trade accounts. This we look to do using integrity and honesty. We regard all our customers as long term business and understand the need for empathy in knowing customers' needs. We are not a family run business. Our personnel work within our organisation because of the skills they have, from logistics to overseas and UK selling markets. Our job is to be constantly negotiating prices for our customers.

In the metal trading industry, we find markets change quickly, so material needs to be moved and exported fast. We only sell to end users foundries who turn our material into ingot - this is how metal is traded at the London Metal Exchange (LME) and other Exchanges around the world.

We offer a cradle to grave service, taking full responsibility of your material once it has been collected from your works. Monthly reports of received material are available, which keeps you, the customer, informed of all scrap leaving production. This can be worked out to the percentage and helps in highlighting your operation, hopefully preventing any unnecessary metal being sent for scrap.

It is our job to help the customer find ways of recycling their material as efficiently as possible and we work closely with them to achieve this.

We understand the current climate has hit manufacturing and business hard. Quite simply, if you produce metal as a bi-product of your manufacturing process, you need to be achieving the very best service and price when it comes to selling. Sentiment is a nice thing to have but in moving forward with the times, service and price is king. Size is not a factor in this industry, markets and selling power are, “if you have the correct market you will have the price”.
