Skyways for Luton:

In early 2011 a group of taxi drivers from Luton formed an alliance after being unsatisfied with the service that they and their customers were receiving from the taxi stands. Forty of these drivers have formed a new company named Skyways, to compete with other taxi stands in Luton. These drivers claim to be fed up with the high charges that they and their passengers have had to pay for a service that can be given for a much lower price.

The main agenda of Skyways is to cut the costs of the drivers to a minimum to allow residents to be given cheap fares to locations in and out of Luton. Since February 2011, many other drivers have joined up with this company and the customer base has seemed to increase rapidly due to the low fare rates and professional service.

The company is pleased to see such a positive response from the community for all our hard work… …and we aim to have high standards. Skyways is keen to employ experienced drivers that are dedicated to provide an outstanding service for a low fee, as they believe this is the key to success for a local taxi firm. They also consider themselves to be a proud member of the community as a business and contribute towards local charities such as the Keech Hospice fund. This is a cooperated company.
