Slough Museum is an independent, Accredited Museum and registered charity,
with a unique collection of over 6,000 objects and 5,000 photographs which tells
the fascinating history of Slough.
Our mission is to inspire, engage, and educate through imaginative and
inclusive programming and displays exploring and celebrating Slough’s past,
present and future.
The Museum opened in 1986 and for over 25 years we have been committed to
collecting, documenting, and preserving Slough’s local heritage and ensuring
that Slough’s rich history is made accessible to all.
As an independent Museum and registered charity we are reliant on grants from
Slough Borough Council, funding from local and national organisations, and the
generosity of local people keep the Museum open and the collections safe for
future generations. If you would like to find out more about how you could
