Strangers was established in 2009 by Alex Sergeant and Samuel Maddocks with William Maddocks later joining the team in 2014.  During the past five years they have been honing the craft and expanding their knowledge on the topic. Speciality coffee is their passion. Speaking to any member of staff soon demonstrates this, with all of them wiling to answer coffee-related queries or make recommendations to customers regardless of how busy they are. Alex has placed twice in the top 15 in the UK Barista Championships as well as coming 5th in the UK Latte Art competition in 2014. On top of this, Strangers has now been shortlisted for a national award by an independent body, naming it amongst the top nine speciality coffee shops in the country.Strangers is currently offering roughly seven different coffees daily from around the world, working closely with some of the top coffee roasters across the country. They have the ability and facilities to prepare the coffee in a number of different ways from espresso to aeropress in the hope of showcasing each coffee at its best.
