With experience of over 50 years, Terminus Contract Hire has established itself as a market leader in the vehicle rental industry across the West Midlands.In 1957, with just one Ford Thames van and two Ford Consol cars, Wolverhampton-born Peter Barley laid the foundations of TCH and saw it thrive for over three decades. By 1999, Peter began to wind-down the company’s activity in line with his retirement. He reduced his fleet to just 11 vehicles, including a beloved bright orange 1989 minibus!Aged 70, Peter sold the business to a family-run company, the Surefit Group – that’s us; we operate widely across the automotive market. Since 1999, TCH has seen a complete rejuvenation and dramatic growth. Today, our company is recognized as a major presence in the motor industry, operating hundreds of quality vehicles from the world’s leading manufacturers.Our most recent expansion came in July 2010 when Gwalia Hire, a vehicle hire company in Herefordshire, joined TCH and the Surefit Group. Gwalia Hire was a family-run company, which established itself as a successful business for over 40 years of trading. One of the main reasons we were keen for them to become a part of TCH was their local identity and personal touch, which they are still well-known for today.Our team of experts across the company share the ambition to build TCH further and for our name to become synonymous with quality, reliability and attention to detail.
