The Marcus Garvey Ballroom is one of Nottingham's oldest live music and event venues, the spectacular dome shaped ceiling in the 800 capacity ballroom has played host to many famous bands, acts and club nights. It is currently the home of the massive rave and dance club nights "Firefly" and "Detonate", but also has in the past played host to musical acts as wide ranging as Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), The Kooks and the "Wildside Festival" (the UK's only glam metal festival which featured Vain, Tigertailz, and more).
