The Playwright Restaurant opened in the heart of Dundee’s cultural quarter in November 2007. Located in the charming Tay Square, with the Rep Theatre only 30 yards away, we offer fine dining cuisine, wines and cocktails in a relaxed and contemporary setting.

With three different menus (lunch, pre theatre and a la carte) and specially created themed evenings (wines of Italy, Brewdog Brewery, seafood and wine etc).Our extensive wine list (over 100 wines and Champagnes) is sourced from three of the most respected suppliers in the UK, and takes in variety and styles from all over the world to please any palette.

Our well trained mixologists also make stunning, individual cocktails using fresh ingredients, worldclass spirits and infusions to create unique flavours.We hope to entice you back again and again.
