For over 35 years Brendan Anderton Butchers have been supplying quality British meat to their loyal customers.Brendan and Petrina have built the business on traditional skills, quality goods and first class service. It is one of the best known and longest established businesses in Longridge. Today the business is collectively run by the Anderton family and their long standing, invaluable team of butchers and drivers.Brendan Anderton Butchers is now spilt into two sites. They have a BRC Accredited, Fully licensed EC cutting plant situated at The Old Barn, Higher College Farm, Lower Road, Hothersall and the Traditional Butchers 19-21 Derby Road, Longridge.The traditional butchers shop: ‘Brendan Anderton Butchers’, has remained on the whole ‘old school’: preserving styles and methods of the past whilst keeping up to date with cosmopolitan speciality products.On a daily basis the product range is extensive: all cuts of British Beef, Lamb, Pork and Red Tractor Chickens are available. There are 10 different flavours of sausages (3 of which are Award Winning 2011), 6 types of burgers, kebabs and a wide selection of marinated steaks and chicken. There is a variety of cuts of Bacon including Smoked, Home Dry Cured and Brine Cured . There is a fine selection of Aga roasted meats and throughout the year seasonal and bespoke produce is available.As well as the meat prepared for sale in the Traditional Butchers Shop, meat is prepared meat as above for sale in other retail outlets. These are purchased pre-packed and priced ready for the shelf.The BRC Accredited, Fully licensed EC cutting plant: ‘Anderton’s Ribble Valley Butchers’, is where the catering / wholesale side of the business is run. Anderton’s Ribble Valley Butchers supply Beef, Lamb, Pork and Chicken on a large scale to a range of businesses: restaurants, nursing homes, schools, hospitals, factories and retail outlets. Orders are put together by a team of highly skilled Ribble Valley Butchers to the customer’s specification. There is a fleet of 9 refrigerated vans which enable daily deliveries throughout the North West of England. Orders are received by fax, phone call and answer phone the day before delivery is required. We enjoy a good rapport with customers and liaise closely with relevant personnel to ensure that we are providing an exemplary service. All records of orders and specifications are maintained for reference and orders are checked before and on delivery.Above all we endeavour to maintain the company’s long standing ethos of: Quality service and civility.
