Our History Cantillon Limited, founded in 1967, was started initially as a haulage company with one man, a lorry and a large dream.48 years later that man, Bill Cantillon has become Chairman of a family-owned enterprise including his wife and with his son, Michael, at the helm as Managing Director of this modern-day demolition company.One of the first lorries in a growing businessGradually growing and developing over the years, Cantillon won its first central London project worth over £1 million in 1995 - Amour & Union House.This was shortly followed by winning the contract for the first phase of the Stonebridge Estate redevelopment scheme.As the scheme developed, Cantillon was awarded further phases and continued to work proudly with Stonebridge HAT for over 12 years throughout the whole duration of the scheme.Cantillon House was built as the company's, Operational office.Mr Bill Cantillon signing the 'papers' Amour & Union HouseIn 2000, Cantillon were one of the first demolition contractors to be awarded the ISO Quality Standard accreditation: ISO9002 (now known as ISO9001), followed shortly afterwards by accreditations for Health & Safety and Environmental Management.In recent years Cantillon have taken an even more pro-active approach to working with the environment, becoming the only recognised 'green' demolition contractor.
