About Country Butchers

Country Butchers has been an established butchers shop in Harrogate for over 50 years, selling meats sourced from the local area. Tony Colbeck has worked here for 28 years and his son Wayne for 7. Tony started as an apprentice and is now the owner of the business.

The vast majority of the produce sold is from farms and suppliers found within a 30 mile radius of the shop's location, Harrogate in North Yorkshire.The shop has won numerous awards and notably has been featured in one of the episodes of the TV series "Frost."

In the past 3 years Country Butchers have been making South African meats such as Biltong, Boerewors and Droewors using authentic recipies. These are special, spiced, air-dried meats and come in different flavours; original, garlic and chilli.
