The small family business started out in 1956 specialising in haulage and site clearance, the company grew and expanded into Demolition, Enabling and Civil Engineering Works.Stephen Randall is the son of the original owner and now owns and runs the company, having incorporated it in 1996. With a team of dedicated managers and site supervisors the company’s attention to detail and ethos of quality and service first, ensures that the business continues to prosper.Stephen started out learning the business from the bottom up and as a young man could be found on site operating excavators and other plant. “I have seen construction contractors come and go – and staying in business comes down to doing a good job, on time and for a fair price. That’s why I’ve always tried to ensure that every employee has the opportunity to learn and grow in the company so they help us to do that consistently over the years.”The company supports NVQ programmes in a range of disciplines – both administrative and operational – with NVQ assessors attending sites to gather evidence of competence.Although many operatives start work with Randall Contracting with no academic awards, they have the opportunity to gain the qualifications they need for their future career.
