Our passion for food is everything you'd expect in a hotel owned by a couple of chefs. With an emphasis on modern European food, our kitchen brigade work hard to source the finest fresh ingredients, some of which is home grown in the gardens.

The varied landscape of Devon produces some of the Country's and World's finest and freshest produce available. South Devon Beef, West Country free range pork and lamb, local estate wild game, Dayboat fish and shellfish from Brixham and River Teign, rope grown mussels and hand-dived scallops - to name but a few. We also grow some of our own in season fruit and vegetables in our kitchen gardens. Our local green grocer Challices in Totnes supply in-season fruit and vegetables.

At the heart of our cuisine is the ethos to source, where possible, the finest seasonal ingredients locally, with confidence in their provenance and integrity. Over the years we have developed a number of partnerships with our suppliers, who we thank enormously for consistently delivering the best of what our region has to offer.

Our food balances wonderful ingredients, perfectly cooked - allowing them to speak for themselves.Awarded two AA rosettes for fine dining, the main Orestone Manor restaurant offers a cosy candlelit ambiance with attentive, discreet service.

We can also offer a less formal experience with a Bistro menu served in our lounges, Conservatory or terrace, which provides delightful alfresco dining on a sunny day. And if you want the full a-la-carte menu but would rather sit outside in the evening sun, that's just fine. Relaxation and enjoyment not rules regulations are the order of the day.

We have an extensive wine list, with a wide range of superb wines to complement our food. More unusually, the rest of our bar stock is also sourced and selected with the same passion and flair as our wines. We strive to provide our guests with new experiences to enjoy at every step of their visit.
