Trusted for 10 years
SoJo is not your typical run of the mill Chinese restaurant that dishes out the obligatory items you find in most Chinese restaurants & takeaways. We would certainly encourage you to be more adventurous than the usual sweet and sour and black bean varieties.
SoJo serves up food a Chinese grandmother would put on the dinner table. To many our dishes may be alien or even new but they are actually centuries old, traditional proper Chinese food that prompted Giles Coren to write about us in The Sunday Times in August 2009. We were further highly reviewed in The Oxford Mail in January 2012 by Kate MacAllister.
There is no compromise here. Where it is meant to be spicy, it is so by Chinese standards and that could be 7- 9 out of 10 on the British palate scale. SoJo food is no frills unpretentious rustic food with lots of exotic ingredients, cooked from scratch or prepared with age old methods.
