In fact the building was there a long time before the restaurant – with parts of the building dating back to 1600! - there is even a restored original Tudor panel wall – this all helps to give the restaurant a wonderful atmosphere, where diners relax and enjoy the great food.

Mike Barry is the owner and head chef at The Conservatory and is a great believer in providing diners with wonderful dining experiences. Prior to the Conservatory Mike worked at a number of leading restaurants, such as Malmaison Hotel in Birmingham and Foodeaze in Exeter, where he gained a tremendous amount of experience and an appetite to always provide excellent food and outstanding service.
